Road Committee 5-Year Plan Proposal

To be discussed at the March 14, 2006 Board Meeting and at the April 22, 2006 Membership Meeting

2006 1. Gravel entry road shoulders 2 ½ in. thick = $8,000

2. Gravel 8 cul-de-sacs = $16,000

3. Hot patch - work party to repair interior road = $3,500

4. Dust abatement test – selected areas. Gravel roads –concerns: environmental impact /vehicles, wells, health.

5. Reclaim shoulder gravel & rework main gravel roads

2007 1. Hot patch paved Hackamore/work party = $2,000

2. Hot patch/work party for interior WTR road = $3,500

3. Gravel remaining cul-de-sacs = $1,500

4. Implement dust abatement program = $5,000

1. Hot patch WTR interior paved roads/work party = $3,500

2. Hackamore – build-up & gravel = $20,000

3. Dust abatement program = $5,000

2009 1. Hot patch/work party of interior paved roads = $3,500

2. Gravel needed roads = $20,000

3. Dust abatement = $5,000

2010 1. Hot patch/work party of interior paved roads = $3,500

2. Gravel needed roads = $20,000

3. Dust abatement = $5,000

Other Road Committee Recommendations:

Voting at 2006 Annual Meeting on a Special Assessment of $300 to $500 per lot for paving interior paved roads (This will free up $3,500 per year for gravel)

Various signage on entry road to be discussed with membership before implementation (April Membership Meeting).

Inspecting and replacing bridges and culverts as necessary to an average width of 30 ft.

Discuss options for widening cul-de-sacs for snow removal.

Discuss options for widening roadway easements for snow removal.

*All of this will stay within the $39,300 road maintenance budget.

**This is the Road Committee’s prioritization of projects it would like to see accomplished. Funds may allow projects to get completed sooner than outlined.
